Welcome to Leawood
The city growing with distinction
Leawood is located about 10 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City. Within proximity of Overland Park and Kansas City, residents have access to not only the great atmosphere of Leawood but also those cities as well.
Leawood has a rich history, having been explored in the 1700s by Daniel Boone. Some 200 years later, in 1922, Leawood would eventually be established by retired Oklahoma police officer Oscar G. Lee. Hoping to build a close-knit community, Leawood was born and has evolved to what it is today.
Leawood is home to various architectural styles, including prairie, contemporary, modern, and traditional. Homes in this area range from the mid 300’s to nearly three million dollars. With that, Leawood has a home to fit any need.
